Lester Krumrie

Mr. Krumrie was born November 15, 1924 in Bridgman the son of the late Herman and Emma (Kuhlow) Krumrie. On January 26, 1946 he married the former Shirley Anderson. Lester was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bridgman where he had formerly served on the Building Committee. He was a Cost Estimator and Construction Supervisor for Zeiger Lumber Co. of Sawyer. Lester had also been a County Supervisor on the old 21-member Board for five years and a Bridgman Mayor for four years. He had been a Berrien County Commissioner serving on the Board of Public Works, and the Berrien County Board of Health for 23 years.

Survived By Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Shirley; five children – Linda (Jim) Jeschke of St. Joseph, David (Nifa Elias) Krumrie of Sawyer, Reed (Carrie) Krumrie of Acworth, Georgia, Debra (Joe) Pascarella of Parrish, Florida, and Karen (Tom) Keeven of Carmel, California; ten grandchildren – Drew Jeschke, David Krumrie II, Christian Krumrie, Kristopher Krumrie, Kiersten Krumrie, Bradley (Loren) Pascarella, Leslie Pascarella, Jeffery Keeven, Joseph Keeven, and Kylee Keeven; two great granddaughters – Grace Pascarella and Haley Krumrie; and a sister, Shirley (Robert) Shafer of Granger, Indiana.
