Lewis Matthias

Mr. Matthias was born February 17, 1933 in Hamilton, Ohio the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Knox) Matthias. He graduated from Hamilton High School and Heidenberg College in Tiffin, Ohio. In 1952 he married the former Janice C. Hamilton. Lew came to Bridgman at the beginning of construction on the Cook Nuclear Plant. He enjoyed working with all the employees at Cook and was proud of all the good things the Cook employees accomplished during that time. He retired from AEP after 39 years of service. Lew also served on the Bridgman School Board at the time the new high school was planned and built. He enjoyed golfing on the Wednesday night Men's League at Pebblewood Country Club in Bridgman.
