Lois Parent

Lois Marie Parent, 83 of Stevensville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Golden Age Manor, Stevensville.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 1, 2018 at The Chapel, 4250 Washington Ave, St Joseph. Friends may meet with the family from 10 am Thursday until the time of the service at church. Memorial contributions can be given to The Chapel or Hospice at Home, 4025 Health Park Ln, St Joseph.

Lois was born September 27, 1934 in Chicago the daughter of the late Edward and Louise (Draper) Doerr. She graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1952. On August 7, 1954 she married Lionel “Bud” Armand Parent and he preceded her in death on May 31, 2003. Lois was a faithful member of The Chapel and loved her “church family” there.

Survivors include her daughter, Toni Morse; daughter-in-law: Pamela Lavanway; grandchildren: Jennifer Parent, Bethann Parent, Megan (James) Rhyme, Jillian Frazier and Stepfanie Morse; great grandchildren: Brittany, Kristen, Matthew, Johnny, Connor, Sterling, Kyle and Max; step sister; Judy Kane; step brothers: Richard (Faye) Appelget and Robert (Debbie) Appelget; and a dear friend: Marian Douce.

Lois was also preceded in death by a son, Gerald Parent in 1993 and a brother, Lyle Merritt and a step brother, Mike Appelget.
