Mary Thompson

Mary Lou Thompson, 72, of Sawyer, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Hanson Hospice Center, Lincoln Township.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, November 28, 2016 at The Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman with Pastor Steve Schimek officiating. Burial will be in New Troy Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mary was born August 14, 1944 in Beulah, Michigan the daughter of the late Earnest and Harriet (Smeltzer) Johnson. On April 27, 1963 she married Michael Ray Thompson and he preceded her in death on March 13, 2009.

Survivors include three sons – Michael “Scott” (Darlene) Thompson of Stevensville, Jeffery (Diana) Thompson of Sawyer, and David Thompson of Bridgman; eight grandchildren; seven great granddaughters; a brother: John Johnson of Benoznia.

Mary was also preceded in death by a sister, Carol Maginity.
