Nancy Carol Burkett

Nancy Carol Burkett, 90 of Bridgman passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at her home in the care of her family.

A memorial service will be held 11 am Saturday, November 15, 2025 at The Anchor Church of God, 5020 Cleveland Ave., Stevensville, MI 49127. Memorial contributions may be given to The Anchor Church of God. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.

Nancy was born September 12, 1935 in Bridgman, the daughter of the late Herman and Ada (Wilkinson) Jonatzke. On December 1, 1952 she married Richard Burkett and they shared 70 years together. Richard preceded her in death on July 25, 2023. Nancy was a teachers aide at River Valley Schools for 16 years. A woman of faith, she was an active gardener and a sewist. Nancy was loved and supported by her Anchor Church family and kind to all.

Survivors include three children: Joanna Janssen, Pamela Penley, Mark (Linda Lund) Burkett; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and sisters-in-law: Sharon Jonatzke and Carol Jonatzke.

Nancy was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Burkett; and brothers: Robert, Gary, and Douglas Jonatzke.

Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman.
