Naomi Trimble

Naomi Trimble, 84, of Bridgman formerly of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away at her daughter’s home on Tuesday, January 27, 2015.

A Memorial Celebration will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Woodland Shores Baptist Church, 3555 W. Shawnee Road, Bridgman. A gathering of friends and family will be from 10 - 11 AM Saturday, prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice at Home, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, MI 49085.

Naomi was born Sept. 15, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of the late Spencer and Georgia (Wyatt) Chappel. On June 29, 1948 she married Gene Trimble and he preceded her in death on February 14, 1999. She was the secretary for many years for the family business, Gene’s Janitor Supply. Naomi was an LPN for eighteen years and the school nurse for Camargo Elementary School. She lived in Mt. Sterling Kentucky until moving to Michigan to live with her daughter following the death of her husband, Gene. Naomi attended Woodland Shores Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children: Carl Scott (Barb) Trimble of Frankfort, KY., Leslie (Chuck) Tate of Bridgman, Jerry (Ondrae) Walker of Lexington, KY., Steven (Pam) Trimble of Mt. Sterling, Ky; grandchildren: Stacey (Mark) Zabel, Tim (Jami) Tate, DeLorean and Serritta Walker, Nick (Trish) Trimble, and Gabe Trimble; great grandchildren: Brittany, Lauren and Meghan Zabel, Savanna and Graci Tate, and Elise Trimble.

Naomi was also preceded in death by grandparents: Pastor William Fielding and Laura Chappel; siblings: Spencer “Buddy” Chappel, Leona Cannon (twin sister), Louise Myers, and Elizabeth Plants.
