Nicholas Otto Weingart, Jr.

Nicholas Otto Weingart, Jr., 85, of Stevensville passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Corewell Health South, St. Joseph.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 10 AM – 12 Noon on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman. Nicholas was born on July 7, 1938 in Chicago, the son of the late Nicholas and Ella (Basel) Weingart, Sr. On June 10, 1961 he married Judith Stark and they shared 62 years together. Nicholas worked in sales at Pyramid/Welsh Oil for 40 years and owned a Mac Tools business for 10 years. But most of all, Nicholas enjoyed volunteering at Habitat for Humanity, St. Joseph Lincoln Senior Service Center, and teaching CPR with the Red Cross. Nicholas also enjoyed woodworking.

Survivors include his wife: Judith; children: Douglas (Robin) Weingart, Gerald (Christine) Weingart, and James (Dawn) Weingart; grandchildren: Andrew (Brittany) Weingart, Ryan Weingart, Benjamin Weingart, Jennifer Weingart, Nicholas E. Weingart, Cristopher Weingart, and Geneva Weingart; great grandsons: Jayce and Mason Weingart; and a brother: Norman (Elaine) Weingart.
