Norma Jean Ray

Norma Jean Ray, 85, of Stevensville passed away on August 4, 2023 at West Woods of Bridgman.  

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman, with Reverend James K. Whitman, officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 10-11 AM on Wednesday prior to the service. Burial will be in Hickory Bluff Cemetery, Stevensville. Norma was born June 9, 1938 in Caruthersville, MO, the daughter of the late William and Aline (Ferguson) Alford. On July 12, 1958 she married Richard Ray and shared 63 years together until his death on April 26, 2022. Norma had worked at Whirlpool Corporation for a number of years.

Survivors include her children: Richard (Carol) Ray, Jr. and Allen (Terri) Ray; grandchildren: Richard Ray III, Robert (Megan) Ray, Kyla Ray; and a great grandson: Garrot Ray, and one soon to be expected.

Norma was also preceded in death by a brother, Ben Ferguson and sisters: Geraldine Glass and Joyce.
