Peggy Emery

Peggy Joyce Emery, 83, of Three Oaks, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at West Woods of Bridgman.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday, August 15, 2016 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family from 10 - 11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions may be given to Heartland Hospice Care, 8075 Creekside Drive, #120, Portage, MI 49024. Peggy was born January 25, 1933 in St. Joseph, the daughter of the late Elwood and Mable (DeMorrow) Hopkins. Peggy married Christopher Emery and he preceded him in death on May 7, 1985. She loved to read and enjoyed the out-of-doors on many camping trips.

Survivors include her children: Michael (Carol) Emery of Coloma, Christine (Michael) Shannon of Three Oaks, Timothy (Wendy) Emery of LaPorte, Debbie Emery of South Bend, Barbara (Duane) Fleetwood of Stevensville, Ricky Emery of LaPorte; twenty grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and her sister: Barbara Hopkins.

Peggy was also preceded in death by a son: Allen Emery in 1981; granddaughter: Marilyn Emery; and siblings: Marlene Jeschke, Timothy Hopkins, and Beverly Fredericks.
