Phyllis June VanderPloeg, 66, of Bridgman passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at home.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at The Chapel, 4250 Washington Ave., St. Joseph, MI 49085. Friends may meet with the family from 10 – 11 AM on Tuesday at the church, prior to the service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Memorial contributions may be given to The Chapel. Phyllis was born on July 6, 1960 in St. Joseph the daughter of the late Ellis and Doris (VanderZouwen) VanderPloeg. She attended The Chapel and was involved in Women’s Bible Study. She loved caring for others and volunteering in the church nursery. Phyllis previously worked at Whirlpool Corporation. She enjoyed her flower garden and reading.

Survivors include her son, Adam Larson; two brothers: Keith VanderPloeg and Jon VanderPloeg; and sister, Myra (Fritz) Dornan.

Phyllis was also preceded in death by her brother, Douglas VanderPloeg.
