Rade was born on June 17, 1959 in Chicago the son of the late Bozin and Olga (Ristova) Videnovich. The family moved to Bridgman, Michigan in the spring of 1962.

Rade graduated from River Valley High School and attended Lake Michigan College for automotive repair. He worked as a mechanic at LeValley in Benton Harbor. He opened Bullseye Automotive, an auto repair shop on the family farm, with his brother, George. Rade excelled at repairing diesel engines and farm equipment for many in the community. A lifelong farmer, he enjoyed cooking and pickling the many vegetables the family farm in Bridgman produced. Rade also grew field corn, soybeans, and juice grapes. His last days were spent harvesting soybeans, field corn, and repairing farm equipment. Rade was a Santa helper with his own natural beard. He also served on the Lake Township Planning Commission. He had a tender heart, especially for his chosen grandchildren who say it’s their honor to call him Grandpa.

Survivors include his siblings: Petar (Mary), George (Susan), John, and Vera Videnovich; niece, Kimberly (Dan) Videnovich-Wetzel; grandnephews: Cole and Aiden Wetzel; step nieces: Jennifer and Myllisa Skorupa; step grandnephew, Seth Skorupa; partner of 40 years, Sue Proud; her son, Christopher Proud; grandchildren: Sierra (fiancé Tanner Sarasin) Proud, Courtney (fiancé Merle Mikesell) Proud, Emily Proud, and Christopher Proud Jr.; great granddaughter, Amelia Sarasin; cousins: Jovanka “Bebe” Kostic, Ljiljana “Lil” (Dushan “Duke”) Stojanovich, Mira, Vancho, Vladimir, and Katarina; extended family of very special friends (including but not limited to) Aunt Ivanka Trifunovich with her sons: Ned and Neven; the late Elsie Priest with her sons: Ken, Wayne, and Glenn; Godbrother, Milan Popovic; and several chosen “brothers” along with all of their families.
