Robert Luttke

Robert Edward Luttke, 75, of Stevensville passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 9, 2012 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Glendora, 1733 Glendora Road, Buchanan with Reverend Thomas R. Brazinsky officiating. Burial will be on Monday, January 16, at 10 AM in Lincoln Township Cemetery with full military honors. Friends may meet with the family from 5-8 PM Friday at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman. Bob was born August 29, 1936 in Benton Harbor, the son of the late Edward and Mabel (Wyman) Luttke. Bob served his country for over 27 years in the United States Air Force and retired in 1981 as a Master Sergeant. He was a member of the Berrien Bass Busters, an avid bowler and supporter of Lakeshore sports. Bob was a member of the Stevensville American Legion Post 568 and the Sheridan VFW Post 5065. He loved to play poker and organize and host Texas Hold’em Tournaments. For the past 24 years Bob drove a school bus for Lakeshore Public Schools and most recently the special needs van. He was a faithful member and past Elder of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Glendora.

On April 12, 1987 he married Roberta Lucker and she survives along with children: Janice Bufmack of Colorado, Ronda of Iowa, Kent Luttke of Grand Rapids, Edward (Heather) Luttke of Toledo, Jan Lausch Zilke of Benton Harbor, Jim Lausch, Robert (Susan) Lausch and Roger Warner all of St. Joseph; Grandchildren - Aaron and Joshua Bufmack, Lydia Rister, Eli Zilke, Isaac and Isaiah Lausch, Sam Blankenship, Katherine, Sarah, Makenzie, Madison, Amber and Courtney Luttke; Camile Czech and many who knew him as “Grandpa Bob”.

Bob was also preceded in death by a sister June (Arnie) Nimtz and a brother, Ronald Luttke.
