Ruby Frances Adams, 93, of Baroda, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025 at A Place Called Home in Stevensville.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, May 16, 2025 at North Shore Memory Gardens, 5027 M-63, Coloma, MI 49038. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.
Ruby was born on January 1, 1932 in Truman, Arkansas the daughter of the late Paul and Ethel (Evans) Klutts, Sr. On July 25, 1950 she married Leonard Adams and he preceded her in death on August 19, 1991. Ruby was a hard worker, working in agriculture most of her life. She would also work for her children’s various businesses. She loved being outdoors on a beautiful sunny day, whether it was in her flower or vegetable garden or just sitting out on the deck. She was a strong and independent person and could be feisty at times. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, reading and crossword puzzles. She loved her cats and dogs – but not snakes! She was better known by her great granddaughters as “Nana Ruberry” because of the strawberries and raspberries she grew and brought to their house when in season. Ruby loved her family most of all and they think she was the “best Mom ever.”
Survivors include two daughters: Annette “Annie” (Mark Hasse) Adams and Diane (Charles Bowsher) Adams; son, Mark Adams I; “bonus son,” Mark Adams II; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Ruby was also preceded in death by two sons: Richard Adams and Leonard Adams, Jr.; one great granddaughter; and six brothers and sister.
Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman.
