Sharon Diane Schreiber

Sharon Diane Schreiber, 92, of St. Joseph passed away in the early hours of Friday, June 6, 2025 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville with her children by her side.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Zion United Church of Christ, 9100 Third St., Baroda, MI 49101. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to the service at church. Sharon was born on August 10, 1932 in Chicago. She was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Margaret (Cairns) Scott. On December 11, 1954 she flew to California to marry James Schreiber. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2007. Sharon was a Registered Nurse for 50 years, working at Mercy Hospital in Benton Harbor, LaPorte Hospital in Indiana, and Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Baroda. Sharon’s greatest love was the beach in Sawyer where she spent many long hours with her family and friends every summer. She also loved dogs, too many to count, but any dog that crossed her path and was in need, now had a new forever home. Sharon especially enjoyed traveling around the country attending her children’s and grandchildren’s athletic events.

Survivors include three children: Debra (Bill) Marx Jr., Scott (Gena) Schreiber, and Suellen (Milt) Russell; six grandchildren: Becky (Ed) Keogh, William Marx III, Corie Schreiber, James Brett Schreiber, Patrick (Danielle) Russell, and Connor Russell; along with four cherished great grandchildren.
