Steven Robert Brueck, 45, of Bridgman passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, May 12 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 9193 Cleveland Ave., Baroda with Reverend Kenneth Babcock officiating. Friends may meet with the family 5-7 PM Thursday at the Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman. Burial will be in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to the Bridgman Foundation for Educational Excellence, 9964 Gast Rd, Bridgman, MI 49106.

Steve was born September 7, 1971 in St. Joseph, the son of Robert and Sharon (Hummel) Brueck of Baroda. Living in the area his entire life and graduating from Lakeshore High School, then graduated from Northwestern College in Lima, OH, in 1991. He married Jennifer Granzow on October 21st, 2012. Steve spent his career in automotive sales. He loved beach walks, wine tours and was an active volunteer for the Bridgman Foundation for Educational Excellence. He was baptized and confirmed at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stevensville and was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Baroda. Presently he was attending Harbert Community Church.

Survivors include his wife: Jennifer; sons: Jacob and Elijah Brueck; step daughters: Madison and Morgan Granzow; his parents Robert and Sharon (Hummel) Brueck; sister: Karen (William) Zielke; and Jennifer’s parents: William (JoAnn) Stanislawski and Karen (Steve) Wilson.
