Virginia Powell

Virginia Dale Powell, 71 of Bridgman passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at her home in the care of her family.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Woodland Shores Baptist Church, 3555 W Shawnee Rd, Bridgman, with Reverends Jim Oakley and Christopher Peddie officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Three Oaks. Friends may meet with the family from 1 - 2 PM Thursday at the church prior to the service. Virginia was born October 27, 1947 in Benton Harbor, the daughter of the late Brence and Patricia (Brightbill) Jackson. On Dec. 21, 2001 she married William Lynn Powell and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2010. She enjoyed singing, photography and being with family.

Survivors include her children: Amanda (Joe) Moore, Anastasia (Brad) Berry and Jamie Baker and their father, Robert Westbrook; twelve grandchildren and a great grandson; sisters: Gloria (John) Bickerstaff and Linda (Gary) Jannert and Gina Balbo; brothers: Jeff (Freda) Jackson and Anthony (Debra) Balbo.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl Jackson Brown.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremations Service, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman.
