Waldemar “Wally” Mojsiejenko, 88, of Berrien Springs entered into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 8, 2026 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9650 Church St., Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family Thursday, May 7 from 5–7 PM at Pike Funeral Home in Bridgman. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Wally was born May 12, 1937 in Chelm, Poland to Sergeus and Berta (Lochwitz) Mojsiejenko. He married Annemarie Richter on December 12, 1958. They came to the United States in 1963 and were longtime members of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where he sang in the choir for 50 years. He worked as a tool and die maker for 36 years.
He loved music, singing and playing the harmonica, a passion he continued into his final week. He was a proud father and “Opa”. Wally enjoyed gardening and working around the house, and was known for his resourcefulness in building and fixing things.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Annemarie; children Andrea (Peter) Thannhauser, Ralf (Mary) Mojsiejenko, and Roger (Amy) Mojsiejenko; grandchildren; Natasha (Michael) Parsons, Alex Thannhauser, Allie Mojsiejenko, Parker (Dani) Mojsiejenko, Cooper Mojsiejenko, Tyler Mojsiejenko, TJ (Raegan) Mojsiejenko; great grandchildren: Jay and Nora Mojsiejenko. Niece Anita Wandel; Nephew Richard (Susan) Wandel; Great-nephew Steven (Johanna) Wandel.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Elfriede Wandel and Erna Meinhardt.
Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman.
