Warren Duane McMillen

Warren Duane McMillen, 85, of Baroda passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025 at Woodland Terrace in Bridgman.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 1-3 PM at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman. Warren was born on August 18, 1940 in Baroda, the son of the late Roland and Sylvia (Florian) McMillen. On June 25, 1960 he married Judith Reitz and they shared 60 years together. Warren worked as a machinist for Clark Equipment Company in Buchanan, MI and Statesville, NC.

After retirement Warren enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting with his friends Dan Schultz and John Harner in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Warren also enjoyed fishing on the Saint Joseph pier with his many fishing buddies.

During his wife Judy’s illness Warren became an excellent caregiver. After her passing in 2021 he was heartbroken. Warren had many friends that helped him during this difficult time. They also helped keep Warren in his home for so long after his vascular dementia diagnosis. The special friends include Mellie Schultz, Sam “Bob” and Diane Brunke. Neighbors who also assisted were Bobby & Dawn; Mark & Gail.

Survivors include children: Timothy McMillen and Tamara (Jerry) Rosenthal; granddaughters: Amber McMillen and Alyssa Rosenthal; and sister, Joyce Ott.

Warren was preceded in death by his wife, Judith (Reitz); and his sister, Mary Freehling.
