Wendy Ann Welch

Wendy Anne Welch, 57, of Bridgman passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Corewell Health South in St. Joseph surrounded by her family.

Wendy was born on December 21, 1967 in St. Joseph the daughter of Robert and Patricia (Kilisz) Fry. On May 5, 1991 she married Michael Welch, Sr. She had her BSN degree and was a longtime employee at Corewell Health in St. Joseph. Wendy enjoyed traveling with her husband or her sisters. Favorite destinations were Mackinac Island or Big Pine Key.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Michael Welch, Sr.; son, Michael Welch, Jr.; brother, Robert (Emmy) Fry; seven sisters: Laura Fox, Constance McGuire, Jenniffer Fry, Stephanie (Dulles) Galanda, Liberty (Scott) Roman, April (Jake) Filbrandt, and Rachel (Brien) Oswalt; and stepmom, Judy Fry. Wendy had a big heart for animals and also leaves behind her dog, Tenchi, and bird, Haiku.

Wendy was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Struble; and father, Robert Fry.
