Werner Moneta

Mr. Moneta was born March 17, 1928 in E. Prussia, Germany the son of the late Johann and Luise (Danowski) Moneta. On April 14, 1952 he married the former Gertrud Berger and she preceded him in death on August 28, 2004. Werner was a member of Lake Michigan Christian Center in Bridgman. He retired in 1988 from Whirlpool after 33 years and he owned and operated Unique Metal Works.

Survived By three daughters – Ursula (Gary) Chappell of Gaylord, Michigan, Gloria (Ronald) Payne of Bridgman, and Christin (Clint) Rice of Stevensville; one grandson, Adam Rice; two sisters – Johanna Haak of Bridgman and Margarete Steegmann of Germany; and three brothers – Bruno (Renate) Moneta of Kalamazoo, Manfred (Carol) Moneta of Bridgman, and Wolfgang (Margaret) Moneta of Baroda. Preceded in Death By a son, Gerold Moneta in 1960; and three sisters.
