Willie "Bill" Warmbein, 95, of Three Oaks passed away peacefully as he was carried to heaven by the angels on Monday, July 14, 2008.
Bill was born June 15, 1913 in Thalberg, Manitoba, Canada the son of the late Robert and Caroline (Modro) Warmbein. On April 22, 1950 he married the former Lillian Schwark and she preceded him in death on January 19, 1975. Bill has been a lifelong farmer and was honored as Conservation Farmer of the Year by the Galien River Soil Conservation District in 1989. He is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sawyer.

Benton Harbor, Michigan five children – Christine Warmbein, who cared for him the last eight years, of St. Joseph Township, Linda Warmbein-Swank of Bridgman, Robert (Bev) Warmbein of Three Oaks, Leonard (Pam) Warmbein of Knox, Indiana, and Jerry Warmbein of New Troy; five grandchildren – Michelle Swank, Renee Herrera, Bobbie Warmbein, Jenny Gordon, and Sarah Warmbein; two great grandchildren – Ariana and Nina; and a brother, John Warmbein of Three Oaks. two brothers – Erich and Henry Warmbein; and a sister, Bertha Hartwig.
