Alice Germain

Alice Eleanor Germain, 88, of Bridgman passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Spectrum Health Lakeland, St. Joseph.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday, March 12, 2021 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9650 N. Church Street, Bridgman with Reverend Edward A. Meyer. Friends may meet with the family 5 - 7 PM Thursday, at the Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Alice was born March 3, 1933 in New Troy, the daughter of the late Albert and Marie (Gnodtke) Schaffer. On March 13, 1965 she married Ronald Edward Germain and he preceded her in death on December 1, 2016. Alice was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bridgman.  She enjoyed entertaining family and friends, always ready to cook a meal and share a glass of wine. She was an avid Cubs and River Valley basketball fan.  Alice enjoyed  Polka  music and dancing at the Dank. She worked with the Lake Township Treasurer and at  the district office at Lakeshore Public Schools.

Survivors include two sons:  Todd (Tamara) Germain and Brett (Stacey) Germain; grandchildren: Spencer (Dawn), Tucker, Audrey and  McKenna; great grandchildren: Andrea Readel - Germain, Elizabeth and Layla Germain;
brother: Albert Schaffer; sisters-in-law: Ruby and Peggy Schaffer.

Alice was also preceded in death by three brothers: Gerald, Ronald and Robert Schaffer.
