Helen Quardokus

Helen Elaine Quardokus, 89, of  Bridgman passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Hanson Hospice Center, Stevensville.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4333 Cleveland Ave., Stevensville, MI 49127 with Reverend Ronald Moritz officiating. Friends may meet with the family prior to the service  from 10 - 11 AM . Burial will be at Hickory Bluff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ  Lutheran Church. Helen was born August 1, 1931 in St. Joseph, Michigan  the daughter of the late William and Edith (Zelmer) Spletzer. Helen was a woman of deep faith. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Berrien Springs and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Joseph where she was married on February 17, 1951, to  Earl G. Quardokus and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2003. Helen graduated from St Joseph High School in 1949. She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sawyer, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bridgman and Trinity Lutheran Church in Glendora. Helen was a accomplished oil painter and pianist. Helen enjoyed flower gardening,  loved animals and loved to follow her grandchildren. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her five children: Rev. Dr. Philip (Valerie) Quardokus, Karen (Rev. Mark) Brandt, Timothy (Christine) Quardokus, Jan (Dr. Jeffery) Schaffer and John (Kelly) Quardokus; 17 grandchildren; 8  great grandchildren; brothers: Eldon Spletzer and Philip Spletzer.

Helen was preceded by her brothers: Donald Spletzer, Arthur Spletzer and William Spletzer.
